Senior Manager, Resource Mobilization

The Senior Manager, Resource Mobilization is responsible for leading  the organization’s institutional and corporate fundraising efforts. This individual will build, steward  and grow engaging and sustainable partnerships with corporations and foundations to support a fast-growing organization. This person will report to the Director of Partnerships, as well as collaborate with senior leaders and other Opportunity@Work (O@W) teams on major proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Partnerships in creating and implementing an overall strategy and approach to secure multi-year funding opportunities. 
  • Profile, tier, and develop/refine structured relationship building plans for key donors and prospects. 
  • Work closely with senior leaders to identify and articulate partnership and funding opportunities.
  • Contribute to the research, writing, and review process for major grants and proposals
  • Facilitate the creation of collaborative resource-generating partnerships
  • Help develop a variety of collateral (grant proposals, outreach emails, presentations, sales collateral, and reports) for existing and potential corporate and foundation partners
  • Maintain and ensure the successful stewardship of current corporate and foundation donor relationships by managing outreach, communication, appreciation, and engagement.
  • Work across teams to engage donors through outreach, education, invitations to speaking events, etc. 
  • Work closely with the Director of Partnerships and senior leaders to identify, engage, and cultivate a robust pipeline of corporate and foundation prospects capable of making significant investments.
  • Work with the team to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of institutional gifts and engagement using Salesforce CRM.
  • Partner with the Director of Partnerships and other team members to hold regular prospecting, pipeline, revenue forecasting, and update meetings.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • 5-7 years fundraising experience and a proven track record of corporate and foundation donor cultivation and acquisition, including building a corporate and foundation donor pipeline and ability to secure large gifts. 
  • Experience developing strategies to increase annual revenue. 
  • Experience successfully leading complex proposal development across multiple teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, including proposal and grant writing experience and ability to communicate complex concepts simply and effectively.
  • Record of successfully engaging cross functional team members and leadership in the fundraising process.
  • Flexible, able to move from big picture strategy to project details as required for concept proposal development 
  • Experience with the funding community is highly desirable; knowledge of “best practices” in development.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation:  We believe in equal pay for equal work. Salary for our positions are based on market data and NOT what you’ve been paid before nor your negotiation skills.
  • Healthcare: We pay 100% of your medical, dental, and vision coverage and 50% of the premium for your spouse and/or dependents.
  • Retirement: We match 4% of your salary (up to a maximum of $5,000) annually, and will contribute an additional 1% of your salary, even if you don’t make a contribution.
